So I'm just going to rip the band-aid off. I am here to tell all of you, my wonderful co-hosts and the viewers at home that this is going to be my last season here at the view.
Megan McCain began her speech on Thursday, June 29, like this, confirming the departure of the American TV show, The View. That was after four seasons of spending in the show. Furthermore, she said she would be leaving at the end of the show season in late July and planned to settle in Washington, D.C. with her family.
This was not an easy decision...
Megan recognizes that it will be difficult for her to leave The View. She further said that she had to take a lot of thought and counsel and prayer and also had to talk to her family and her close friends to come to this fixed decision at last.
At the same time, she did not forget to talk about the Covid pandemic that affected her life in some way, saying:
Covid has changed the world for all of us and it changed the way I am looking at life, the way I am living my life, the way I want my life to look like.
After that, she started releasing words for The View, her initial connection, and also for its co-hosts. Meghan opens up her words, addressing the show as one of her privileges in her life.
On a professional note, this show is one of the hands-down most exhilarating, wonderful privileges of my entire life...
It was my dad who encouraged me to do it, and he said I couldn't give up an opportunity to work with an iconic show with Whoopi Goldberg.
This is the show in America
It is a privilege to work alongside such strong, brilliant, intelligent, incredible broadcasters like the four of you. You are the most talented women on all of television, hands down, and it has been so incredible to be able to do this with you.
So seriously thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart.
She admired and thanked the other co-stars from the bottom of her heart with the best words that she released in that situation.
Bringing out her little daughter, Liberty Sage to her speech, she reminded her pregnancy and her lifetime in Washington DC with her family.
When I said goodbye to all of you in the studio over a year and a half ago, I had just found out I was pregnant. I left the city and came to the DC area, which is where my husband and I have always split time; we have this incredible life here. When I think about where I want Liberty to have her first steps and her first words, I just have this really wonderful life here that ultimately I felt like I didn't want to leave.
Eventually, she announced her stay in the show until late July with a humorous warning.
And I will still be here another month, so if you guys want to fight a little bit more we have four more weeks.
Joy and I call each other b---- all the time and text each other b----, I know you are comfortable with it, she knows I'm comfortable with it, I also enjoy fighting with you...
She had brought her fierce determination and vast political knowledge and experience to the show. She recently came to us with her decision to depart the show at the end of this season, a difficult choice that she made for her and her family that we respect and understand. We wish the best for Meghan as she plans her next chapter, and thank her for the passion and unique voice that she shared with us and our viewers each day.
