The 22-year-old rapper Polo G, whose real name was Taurus Tremani Bartlettwas, arrested in the town, Miami on Saturday early morning while riding in a car with security after an album release party with his younger brother. That was for five charges including, battery on a police officer and resisting an officer without violence, and criminal mischief. According to reports, an officer who tried to handcuff him was beaten several times.

However, he was reportedly released on bond hours later.

At the time when this happened, his mother, Stacia mac seemed extremely upset. She posted a video on Instagram of the incident, expressing her aggressive nature toward the police officers who arrested Polo G and his younger brother without giving a specific reason. Also, she states in her video that the Miami police did not cooperate when trying to find out about the rapper's condition and his 16-year-old younger brother.


The Miami Police Department tweeted about this incident, saying:

The Miami Police Department is aware of the incident involving Mr. Taurus Bartlett, also known as Polo G,  and another male juvenile. We will provide updates as they become available.


In connection with this, Polo G's mother tweeted as follows:

WHERE ARE MY SONS?! WHERE IS MY MINOR SON??! ANSWER THAT!!!

Further, she tweeted saying; 

None of these charges would  be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done.

Furthermore, according to the police officers, he has become very aggressive in the situation and even has refused to get out of the car. In addition, according to police statements, while Polo G and others were pulled over, the rapper's behavior worsened and he got into a struggle with officers.

The Chicago-based artist's single "Rapstar" peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in April. After that, he released his latest album, Hall of Fame, on Friday.
