Another unfortunate loss !!
65-year-old Lisa Banes passed away on the 14th of June after being injured in a hit-and-run accident in New York City. According to the police statements, she was struck by a scooter on Monday, June 4 while crossing the street. As reported, she was rushed to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury, immediately. After 10 days, she left the world forever in the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.
Lisa Banes is an appreciable American actress who began her acting career in the 1980s. She has appeared on stage on Broadway several times in her life with Rumours, High Society, and also Present Laughter. She was not an actress stuck in the same frame. She played various roles in her acting career on stage, television, and in movies. Lisa has made an immense contribution to television in her career life with the roles of Royal Pains, Master of Sex, and Nashville. There is no doubt that they are still memorable characters for her fans.
Among her films Cocktail (1988), Freedom Writers(2007), Gone Girl (2004), and A Cure for Wellness (2016) impressed the hearts of the audience so much. She is still known as the Gone Girl, especially because of her fair role in the film. There she played Amy's mother, Mary Beth. It wasn't really a big part, but she was able to enrich the entire film with curiosity.
Her manager, David Williams said that she was very dedicated and generous not only in her job but also in her family. According to him, on that day she crossed Amsterdam Avenue to visit the Juilliard School, her alma mater.
Lisa lived with her spouse, Kathryn Kranhold who works as a contributing reporter for the Centre for Public Integrity. It is clear from her tweets that Catherine is deeply shocked by Lisa's death.
