On Friday, June 18, Jazz Jennings revealed via an Instagram post that she is going to turn over a new leaf in her lifestyle with the positive change.

What is that change?

It was about her binge-eating disorder that caused her to gain almost 100 pounds weight over the last two years. The American YouTube personality, Jazz regards it as her responsibility to maintain her new health journey. 

With honesty, Jazz opens up about her addiction to the food past two years, saying:

As many of you have noticed, over the past few years, I have gained a substantial amount of weight. I suffer from binge-eating disorder, a disease in which I’m not only addicted to food, but I eat it in large quantities. My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years.

20-year-old LGBT rights activist has published her Instagram post with a side-by-side photo showing her past and present with the extreme change in her body. It is clear that this is a fact that will get anyone's attention.


Next, she emphasizes the reason to publish such a side-by-side photo, saying:

I’m posting this photo because it’s time for me to address my weight gain and hold myself accountable. I’m ready to change my ways; I’ve been saying I’m ready to turn over a new leaf, but I’m running out of trees now. I’m ready to take the initiative and create positive changes when it comes to my health and body. 

She acknowledged that she needed to lose weight and that she had the energy to do so.

Jazz accepted that she had a "fabulous team" of professionals, family, and friends to support her but she said it is up to her to get the initiative.

I have a fabulous team supporting me, both professionals and family/friends, but at the end of the day, I have to be the one committed toward bettering myself. I know I have the power in me to lose the weight, and I intend on sharing my progress with all of you. Love you all, and thanks for understanding the battle I’m fighting to win❤️❤️❤️


She identifies it as a battle that she is trying to win mostly with her power. Moreover, she shares her photos via Instagram, thanking for all with support and also captioning, "Beautiful every shape and size 💙💙💙"
