In 2020, Anthony Hopkins plays a major role as an 80-year-old father who is struggling with his memory in the film, "The Father". As a person who suffers from Dementia, Anthony has to act with a constantly changing vague mind in his character. 

The film shows the 83-year-old British actor, Anthony playing the role brilliantly. Through the win of Best Actor Oscar for the film, "The Father", it is well established. Though he won the BAFTA award for Best Actor for "The Father", it was a big surprise that night win an Oscar.

 On Sunday, he was the oldest actor to win such an award.


If I mention some special facts about Anthony Hopkins, he is a Welsh actor, director, producer, composer, and painter who holds both British and American citizenship.


This great man's father was a baker. (Richard Arthur Hopkins) On one occasion he states: "Whenever I get a feeling that I may be special or different, I think of my father and I remember his hands-his hardened, broken hands." 

This shows that he has always emphasized his father's working-class values in his life. 

He is best known for his 1991 film, "The Silence of Lambs". Because he won the Academy Award for  Best Actor and his first BAFTA for Best Actor through that film. In addition, Fracture, Solace, The Remains of the Day, The Edge are some of his popular films.

Individuals with such multiple skills are limited. They deserve what they deserve at this Oscars.
